Crawfordsville Preparing for Super Bowl Visitors
The electricity can be felt up and down the streets of Crawfordsville as Montgomery County prepares to host hundreds of visitors staying in town for next weekend’s Super Bowl.
Given Crawfordsville’s close proximity and travel convenience to Super Bowl XLVI host city Indianapolis, the Montgomery County Visitors Bureau anticipates the city will be a prime location for football fans. “The hotels in the Indianapolis area have been booked for months with members of the press, NFL staff and support crews,” said Kara Edie, Marketing Assistant at the Visitors Bureau. “Considering Crawfordsville is just a short ride down I-74 from Indianapolis, our area is perfect for fans who want a quick and easy commute to all the fun.”
The Montgomery County Visitors Bureau will transform into Super Bowl Info Headquarters next week, to assist visitors and fans in making plans to travel to the Super Bowl festivities. “There’s an almost unlimited number of great things to do in Indianapolis in the week leading up to the big game,” said Edie, “but even getting into the city will take logistical planning. Starting at the Visitors Bureau is a necessary first step.”
Extra computers will be available at the Visitors Bureau next week for guests to use to arrange transportation, book park-and-ride passes, print maps, view event schedules and make reservations. Free WiFi will also be available for those with laptops and handheld devices.
The Montgomery County Visitors Bureau will be open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, call 765-362-5200 or email request@198.46.89.184.
