Rotary Jail Museum

Our Rotary Jail opened in 1882 as the first rotary jail in the country! Its round cell block sits on a turntable that revolves when a hand crank is turned. Just 18 rotary jails were built, and we are the only one that still spins. Come see this remarkable feat of 1880’s engineering that still rotates!

Tannenbaum Cultural Center, located just behind the Rotary Jail is perfect for your next banquet or special event.  Features include:  64 person capacity, tables and chairs for the event, climate controlled, handicap accessible, restrooms, kitchenette with refrigerator and freezer, wifi access, stylish interior with concrete floors and brick walls.  Rental times available 24 hours a day, 7 days a weeki, everyday of the year including holidays.  Call the Rotary Jail Museum for scheduling and prices.

If you need assistance with Tannenbaum Cultural Center reservations and rentals, please email us at contactus@rotaryjailmuseum.org, call us and leave a voicemail at 765.362.5222, or fill out a rental application on the website at www.rotaryjailmuseum.org/facility-rentals.
