Join Wabash College Art Department and the Sugar Creek Quilters for a reception for “A Quilted Legacy” a beautiful exhibit by the Sugar Creek Quilters, curated by Wabash Artist-in-Residence Julian Jamaal Jones, and the final viewing of Jones’ “AMEN” exhibit featuring his contemporary quilts and works on paper.
During the event members of the Sugar Creek Quilters are doing a no-experience-necessary quilt block workshop where visitors can create quilt blocks for a community quilt that will be auctioned for the Montgomery County Free Clinic and children can enjoy a take-home quilting activity led by Wabash students.
Textile art created by Wabash Students will also be on view along with works created by local school groups who visited the exhibits.
FREE barbecue lunch at noon!
