EAT FOR A GOOD CAUSE

The Latona family is facing an overwhelming crisis as Baylen, the son of Britt and Buck Latona, battles a severe and rare blood disease, Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP). After initial hospitalization and treatment which was already a lot, he relapsed just 4 days later, suffered a brain bleed, had a seizure, and has been on a ventilator. During that time, he ended up getting pneumonia. Britt and her family have been by his side since January 30th, but the financial strain has been mounting. Her husband has used all his vacation time and will have to return home for work. The cost of travels getting to and from Miami have been straining. It has been a lot for them to go back and forth from Indiana to Miami these past few weeks. The family is facing daily expenses, such as transportation to the hospital, food for the family, and that’s not to mention the medical bills that are likely to come their way. The emotional and financial burden has been a lot on them. We would like to help support the Latona family, to stay with Baylen through his recovery while also balancing their responsibilities to their other child, Baylen’s sister.
