Event Series Event Series: Gardening Workshops

Gardening Workshops

March 18 @ 6:30 pm

send a request via email to cvilleseedlibrary@gmail.com. A Master Gardener will be able to answer your questions.

The Seed Library is more than just seeds—it’s also a hub for learning! In partnership with the Master Gardeners of Montgomery County, the library is hosting a series of free gardening workshops each Tuesday evening in March, featuring expert guest speakers.

All sessions begin at 6:30 PM in Room D in the lower level of the library. Registration is required. You can sign up online or call the Circulation Desk at (765) 362-2242 ext. 1. Register for all four or pick and choose the ones that work for your schedule.

Here’s what’s coming up:

March 4: Seed Starting & Soil Blocking: Join us for a take-and-make workshop with Master Gardener Andria Grady.

March 11: Perennials that POP!: Discover stunning perennials with John Chapin of Tree Frog Gardens.

March 18: Sensational Succulents: Enjoy a hands-on demonstration by Anne Sipahimalani and take home your own succulent!

March 25: Cooking with Garden Herbs & Preservation: Learn from Amanda Marciano-Feutz about the best ways to use and perverse your garden herbs.

To supplement what you learn from this Gardening Series, don’t forget to visit our extensive collection of gardening books in our second floor nonfiction section. Check out “Grow Food Anywhere: How to Plant the Right Crops in the Right Place and Help Your Garden Thrive” by Lucy Chamberlain (635 Chamberlain) for some great tips on where and how to plant your new seeds, or explore the new title “How to Design a Garden: Create and Maintain Your Dream Garden by Pollyanna Wilkinson (712.6 Wilkinson) to figure out how to customize your gardening space.

In partnership with the Master Gardeners of Montgomery County, we are excited to encourage our community to experience the joys of gardening. While we are not accepting seed donations at this time, if you would like to support this program, monetary donations can be made at the Circulation Desk anytime during the library’s open hours. For more information, please visit the library or reach out via email. Happy planting!
