christmas-shop-treeGently used Christmas items generally priced between $1.00 to $10.00. Open seasonally, Mid-November to Mid-December. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and until 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays.

Proceeds generated are used to purchase gift certificates for food for local families during the holidays.

LibraryLane17Sponsored by the Crawfordsville District Public Library, Library Lane in downtown Crawfordsville features Christmas storybook, Where’s Prancer!?  Children will enjoy walking to each participating business where pages from the storybook are displayed in store front windows. Pick up your flashlights at the library!  On display now until Christmas.

Christmas in Tremaine park in Waynetown

When: Dec. 2nd-December 31st.  Where: Rev. Guy Tremaine Park, Waynetown

Waynetown’s Rev. Guy Tremaine Park will be all aglow with Christmas displays provided by local residents, churches and businesses. Visitors can either drive through the park or take a stroll around the displays while Christmas music is being played. There is no fee to enjoy this event that was the idea of a few local residents.

Last year there were 25 displays and this year local businesses, churches and residents have committed to at least 35 displays.

Special Events

December 2nd at 7 p.m. The Grand Lighting Ceremony will take place with cancer fighter and Northridge Elementary eighth-grader Ethan Gayler flipping the switch. Enjoy a Christmas program from live entertainment by carolers and local singers. Refreshments will be served by Waynetown Boy Scouts under the decorated Rusk Shelter which is the location of the town’s Christmas tree. Stroll around the displays while Christmas music is being played.

DEC 2nd. CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK LIGHTING CEREMONY!

6:30 pm – all displays need to be complete

6:30 pm – Waynetown Boy Scouts serve free cookies, coffee and cocoa

6:45 pm – Northridge Middle School Choir program with holiday songs

7:00 pm – short fireworks display

7:02 pm – Ethan Gaylor flips the switch to light up all the displays

7:05 pm – Northridge Choir resumes program

7:15 pm – Songs by Bob Cox and Kiara Crystal Bennett

ALL PEOPLE PRESENT ARE INVITED TO JOIN the choir for carols.

There will be fire pits to help keep you warm.

December 9th at 1 p.m.. Santa Clause will meet children and pass out treats. Refreshments will be served by the Waynetown Town Council. The top three Christmas displays will be rewarded with cash prizes and plaques at 2 p.m. Family Christmas portraits with Santa, Mrs. Clause and elves will be available at no charge.

Live Nativity at Browns Valley

December 10th and 11th the drive-thru Live Nativity will again be held for the seventh year in a row at Browns Valley Christian Church, located at 9011 South State Route 47, Browns Valley, IN.  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
